What is Menopause?
Menopause is defined as the absence of menstrual periods for a period of 12 consecutive months. At this point of time, the functioning of the ovaries stops and no longer brings about pregnancy. A chronic version of this phase is called Perimenopause, where menopause takes advent at a comparatively very young age; the ovaries stop producing hormones prematurely.
